Outpatients
Mark conducts outpatient clinics in the NHS at Southmead Hospital, Bristol and GPs have access to the referral pathways. Private consultations are held at Spire Hospital, Bristol. He is happy to see any patient over the age of 18 with any shoulder problem from sports injury such as instability to arthritis needing replacement. Following clinical assessment, arrangements can be made for further investigations such as X-rays or scans and treatments such as injections, physiotherapy or shockwave therapy
Surgery
If surgery is recommended Mark has operating lists in the NHS at Southmead Hospital, Bristol and Privately at Spire Hospital, Bristol. He undertakes a wide range of open and arthroscopic shoulder surgery for sports injuries such as recurrent dislocations or instability and painful conditions such as subacromial impingement, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, AC joint pain and arthritis requiring shoulder replacement. He has experience in all types of shoulder replacement including resurfacing and reverse geometry as well as the most up to date stemless implants. See the patient information sheets below
Medicolegal
Mark has a MedicoLegal practice and regularly assesses patients at solicitors' request for personal injury reports acting for both claimant and defendant.
